That record makes SRG more than a regional hopeful. It is a team with a repeatable system, international final experience and the confidence to play against Philippine and Indonesian opposition without changing its identity. Reaching a third straight MSC final would be an extraordinary achievement, but anything short of the Knockout Stage would be a major surprise.

PRO Esports: PRO Esports is one of the most interesting teams in the field because Cambodia’s best lineups have a history of exceeding outside expectations. Its route depends on whether its preparation survives first contact with a favourite.
Geekay Esports & Team Falcons from MENA: MENA has two opportunities to demonstrate its progress. Geekay Esports qualified as the MPL MENA Season 9 champion, while Team Falcons earned the final main-event place through the Wildcard. Yangon Galacticos: Yangon Galacticos represents Myanmar after establishing itself as the leading force in the country’s scene. Its Top 8 finish at the M7 World Championship gave the organization genuine international credibility.
Underdogs: IGNITE Gaming, Entity7, Guangzhou Gaming and True Rippers Esports

How MSC 2026 Works
MSC 2026 has two main phases: the Group Stage from 22 to 26 July and the Knockout Stage from 29 July to 1 August.
The 16 teams are divided into two groups of eight. Each group uses a GSL-style double-elimination bracket with best-of-three series. A team can advance through the upper route, recover through the lower route after one defeat, or be eliminated after a second series loss. Four teams from each group qualify for the Knockout Stage.
The eight remaining teams enter a single-elimination bracket. The four upper-bracket group qualifiers receive the right to select opponents from the four lower-bracket qualifiers, adding a strategic decision before the quarterfinals begin.
Knockout matches are best-of-five, while the grand final expands to a best-of-seven. That progression rewards different qualities.
